Nutritious grab-n-go snacks that are vegan, gluten free, nut-free, non-GMO, organic, and paleo friendly. Oh, and totally delicious!
Keep reading for a a full review of these healthy snacks and my recipe for Maple Walnut Vegan Cream Cheese, which just so happens to be the perfect creamy dreamy pairing for these crackers.
My kids go back to school this week. This year, my girls are starting Kindergarten which means I’ll be packing three lunches and snacks each day.
I also like to have healthy snacks available when they get home at the end of the day.
While homemade is usually best, I’m always on the lookout for store bought snacks that are minimally processed, nutrient rich, and school safe (read: nut free). Because, let’s be honest, even those of us who love to cook could use a break from our kitchen every now and then.
These Foodie Fuel snacks are so convenient, perfectly crunchable, mess-free, and full of healthy ingredients. And the best part is that my kids love them!
What goes better with snacks than some kind of dip?
Tortilla chips and bean dip, chips and queso, potato chips and onion dip, fresh cut veggies and hummus.
Sweet snacks deserve dipping, too, and that’s where this Maple Walnut Vegan Cream Cheese comes in.
Both these Foodie Fuel crackers and this cream cheese dip are great on their own, but paired together they are even more special. We’ll get back to this creamy spread in a moment, but first let’s take a closer look at these kid approved snack crackers.
Foodie Fuel, Inc. is a Boulder, CO based company founded by two lifelong friends passionate about feeding their families healthy, sustainable food.
The crackers come in four enticing flavors: Butter Toffee, Cinnamon Ginger, Coconut Vanilla, and Swiss Chocolate.
Each flavor starts out with the same impressive list of high-nutrient ingredients: sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, flax seeds, and chia seeds. They all contain unrefined, low-glycemic coconut sugar as a sweetener, but none of the flavors are overly sweet.
The amazing flavors come from high quality, plant derived sources, including superfoods such as cinnamon, mesquite powder, cocoa powder, and lucuma powder.
All of Foodie Fuels cracker varieties are USDA certified organic, certified gluten free, certified non-GMO, certified vegan, and paleo friendly. Truly, everyone can enjoy these energizing treats.
Foodie Fuel crackers are perfectly tasty straight from the bag.
If you want to step up your snacking game, try it mixed with dried fruit and chocolate chips as a trail mix, with nut butter, or of course with my Maple Walnut Vegan Cream Cheese below.
You can even enjoy them for breakfast crumbled over yogurt with fresh fruit or eaten like cereal with milk.
Ideal for at home, on-the-go, breakfast, snacks, lunch boxes, and pre and post workout, anytime. The crispy, yet chewy, texture satisfies whenever your cravings strike.
My kids love these crackers! And so do I!
My son and youngest twin daughter love the Swiss Chocolate the best. My other twin daughter enjoys the Cinnamon Ginger (<- this flavor reminds me of the holidays with it’s warm sweet and spicy flavors).
I am partial to anything toffee flavored and the Butter Toffee did not disappoint – it’s rich and buttery with distinct notes of caramel.
And if you love coconut, the Vanilla Coconut is for you!
My first dairy free cream cheese, my garden veggie cream cheese spread, is one of the most popular recipes on my blog.
I’ve been meaning to bring you this sweetened up version for awhile and now seemed like the perfect time to share it.
The cream cheese base is ultra creamy, tangy like cream cheese should be, with a touch of pure maple syrup to make it just sweet enough. You can fold in the toasted chopped walnuts or just sprinkle them over the top.
This stuff is so good, I was eating it straight from the spoon! If you have more willpower than I do, enjoy it on bagels, toast, graham crackers, with Foodie Fuel crackers (of course!), or I’m thinking it would even make a great frosting for carrot cake!
I hope you love this recipe as much as we do! If you tried it, please use the rating system in the recipe card and leave a comment below with your feedback.
