Is oil healthy?
Oil brings flavor, richness, and moisture to foods, but is a processed food, extremely high in calories and fat, and offers little nutritional value. I do believe, if used sparingly, oil can be part of an overall healthy diet if you choose to use it. However, the small amount of healthy fats oil offers can be easily obtained from other plant based food sources.
